As the first Starbucks Reserve Roastery to arrive on the U.S. East Coast, the project is located within Manhattan’s Chelsea Market—an area rich in industrial heritage and adjacent to the iconic High Line.
The design thoughtfully transforms the site’s former factory history into a narrative backdrop, shaping an immersive “coffee industrial theater” where past and present converge.
Positioned at the pinnacle of Starbucks’ global brand hierarchy, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery exists in only six locations worldwide. For this project, Mexarts Contract contributed with an international design perspective and an artful approach to wood craftsmanship, creating immersive wooden spatial expressions and integrated product solutions that elevate the overall experience.
