Inspired by the Song Dynasty round-back chair, this dining chair reinterprets classical Eastern beauty through a modern design language. The seamless curves flow naturally from backrest to armrest, shaping an elegant, embracing silhouette. Crafted with bent solid wood, the form is graceful yet strong, with every curve meticulously hand-polished by artisans to preserve the refinement and warmth of traditional joinery. A softly upholstered seat completes the design, offering comfort that harmonizes with timeless craftsmanship.
After working in well-known furniture manufacturer in Japan for 15 years, Yoshiharu Katsube started to establish himself as an independent furniture designer. Since then, he has cooperated with over 30 furniture brands in Japan and became famous for his unique style.
He began to work with Mexarts since December, 2011 and participated in the design and development of Woodnote collection.
